Hello everyone! I have a great recipe today! On Christmas Eve, be sure to make this ahead and refrigerate overnight so that you can just stick it into the oven and enjoy for Christmas morning! 

Cinnamon-Infused French Toast Casserole

Ingredients:

• 1 stick butter

• 1½ cups brown sugar

• ½ teaspoon cinnamon

• 6 eggs

• 1½ cups milk

• 12 slices white bread

• 1 drop of Young Living Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

Melt butter and mix with brown sugar. Stir in Essential Oil. Spread half of the brown sugar mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Place six pieces of bread over brown sugar mixture. Spread the remainder of the brown sugar mixture over the bread. Place remaining six pieces of bread on top. Beat eggs and milk together and pour on top of everything. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

Lemon Scones with a White Chocolate Glaze {Gluten Free!}

Hey There Readers!

Today I am going to post a seriously addicting recipe and share a few things about another one of my can't-live-without-oils!

Lemon!

Not only does Lemon arrive with your Premium Starter Kit, but it is an amazing oil. Did you know that the oil comes from the rind of the lemon, rather than from the juice?

Lemon has a lot of uses. I love to diffuse it in my bedroom for a nice "clean" smell. You can also use it with your Young Living Thieves Household Cleaner for more intense results.

Lemon has been traditionally used to help support the digestive system. It’s also great for removing gum, oil, and grease spots. So much easier to get that gunky, sticky residue that remains when you pull off a sticker on an item. Any-hoo, let me show you the recipe! :)

   

Lemon Scones with a White Chocolate Glaze

 1 Box Namaste Gluten Free Scones and Muffin Mix (or favorite scone recipe)

14 drops of YLTG* Lemon Essential Oil

Mix the scones recipe up and then fold in the essential oil with a rubber spatula (or use your hands  but it can get sticky if you are using the Namaste brand.) Sprinkle with my Lemon Sugar Dust (See recipe below) and bake according to directions. The trick to a good Gluten Free scone is to watch it VERY carefully. Don't let it dry out. Lay out to cool a bit while you make the glaze. 

           Lemon Sugar Dust

               1 Cup Sugar

                    15 drops YLTG Lemon Essential Oil

Stir in a mason jar with a toothpick and secure lid. Can be used for tea parties, on top of muffins, scones, cookies, and cakes.

                White Chocolate Glaze

         5 squares of  Ghirardelli white chocolate ( 5 squares not 5 bars!)

       2-3 T. Heavy Whipping Cream

    12 drops YLTG Lemon Essential Oil

Stir over low heat until just melted. Pour glaze over scones and allow to harden. (Lemon zest is optional, but it does look pretty on top of the scones)

Itch-Be-Gone Stick

10 drops of Young Living Therapeutic Grade Lavender Essential Oil

10 drops Young Living Therapeutic Grade Peppermint Essential Oil

2 oz. Carrier Oil (jojoba oil, almond oil, olive oil, etc...)

2 oz. Dark Glass Roll-on bottle I use these.

Mix together, insert roll ball into glass bottle, screw on lid, and shake. Apply to skin. Reapply as needed.

Peppermint: Why peppermint? Peppermint has a very cooling effect and feels amazing on your itchy skin!

Lavender: Lavender is soothing to skin of all ages. It is one of my #1 can't-live-without oils.
